Updating: on 0.4.0, open Melange.exe and choose Restart to update. On 0.3.x, download melange-0.4.1.zip, extract it and run Melange.exe once.
What’s new
Section titled “What’s new”- Fullscreen from inside the game. Press Alt+Enter, or choose View › Fullscreen in the overlay (
`), to switch to borderless fullscreen and back, instantly. The game renders at your monitor’s resolution, Sunstone Ultra keeps working, and the choice is remembered for the next start. Melange.exe has a new Settings › Display section with a fullscreen switch and a windowed-resolution picker. If the stock launcher’s exclusive fullscreen (/FS) is set, turning Melange’s fullscreen on replaces it. - Crash reports that show what went wrong.
- Crash dumps are written reliably (with a fallback to
Documents\Melange\dumps). - When the game’s own error handler crashes, the report also captures the original fault that triggered it.
- Match recordings survive a crash instead of ending up empty.
- Export last game’s logs includes a cut-short recording (marked incomplete) instead of leaving it out.

Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- On a display scaled above 100%, Windows scales the game up, so fullscreen covers the screen but isn’t pixel-native.

Updating from 0.3.x: download melange-0.4.0.zip, extract it and run Melange.exe once. Versions before 0.4.0 can’t update themselves; from 0.4.0 on, Melange.exe downloads new releases itself and offers Restart to update.
What’s new
Section titled “What’s new”- Melange keeps itself up to date. Melange.exe checks GitHub when it starts, downloads a newer release in the background, checks its SHA-256 and that it is signed by the same publisher, and installs it in one click (with a backup). The game shows a notice at most once a day. Settings › Updates › Check for updates automatically turns both off.
- Plugins that can’t load are cleared out of the way. At start (Melange.exe and the game), a Store plugin that can’t run on this Melange is updated to a version that can, or removed if a freshly fetched Store list has none; a local plugin is moved to
Mods\.incompatible\. The Plugins and Mods pages say what happened. - Show local plugins. The plugin lists show what came from the Store; plugins you added by hand are hidden until you tick Show local plugins (they still load if switched on).
- Restore vanilla (Settings): makes the game folder stock Worms Ultimate Mayhem again, removing Melange and other mods (Renewation HD, WUMPatch, ReShade, ASI loaders and plugins) for good. Saves are kept, replays are moved to Documents, and Steam re-verifies any game files a mod had changed. The next start is a fresh setup.
- One-click log export. Export last game’s logs (Melange.exe’s Help page,
Ctrl+Shift+F11or the overlay’s File menu) saves that game’s logs, recordings and desync bundles to your Desktop as a zip. - Overlay menus show their state. Classic timing, Smooth 60, Post-FX and FXAA have a check mark while on; the View menu groups panels (View › Thumper › Mods).
Heads-up
Section titled “Heads-up”- Local plugins that ask for a Melange older than 0.4 are moved to
Mods\.incompatible\on first start. Sunstone 1.7.2 and Bloodsand 1.1.2 in the Store already run on 0.4 and are updated automatically. - Checking for updates is a plain HTTPS request to GitHub that sends nothing about you or your game.

First public release of Melange, a modding framework for Worms Ultimate Mayhem (Steam, build 1077).
Install: unzip into the game folder (next to WormsMayhem.exe). See INSTALL.txt in the zip, or the README.
Includes the overlay, the Oasis web tools, Mirage graphics, the Erg map editor, Wormsign replays, the plugin Store, crash fixes for closing the game after online matches, and sample mods.
Get plugins such as Sunstone (graphics overhaul) from the in-game or Oasis Store.
Note: these binaries are not code-signed yet. Windows SmartScreen or Smart App Control may warn about or block them; signed builds are planned.
